Carrie received her Masters in Social Work from New York University
and is registered as a Play Therapist through the International Association for Play Therapy. She has been trained and
is certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing).
Carrie's specialty areas include Individual Adult Psychodynamic Psychotherapy,
Couples Therapy, Family Therapy, and Child Therapy.
She is an experienced Marriage Therapist, working with couples
to strenghten their communication skills, resolve conflicts, repair wounds, deepen thier intimacy, and ultimately enhance
their relationship.
As a trained child play therapist, Carrie counsels
parents and children facing a broad range of challenges including, among others, parental divorce, behavioral difficulties,
low self esteem, depression, attachment/adoption related issues, and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
She has facilitated
numerous parenting groups educating adults on powerful techniques for effective and successful parenting. Additionally,
Carrie works with parents/caregivers and their children to enrich their relationship.
Carrie has treated
both child and adult survivors of trauma, using cognitive-behavioral tools and psychodynamic psychotherapy, as well as
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
